I'm going through a lot right now at work as we all are and my prayer life or rather the way I pray is starting to change...<br /><br />One resounding theme that comes to mind is "I Accept". Lately, there are so many things in my life that are beyond my control. It's the sign of the times just like with everyone else. There are things that we just have to accept because they are the way they are, but there are things within ourselves such as our attitudes, the way we think, how we communicate with other people that we do not have have to accept. For example, I accept that my boss is a jerk. But I do not accept that I will hate him or be afraid of him. I accept that [my child] can be a handful but I do not accept that I will yell at them. I accept that I have a lot of work but I do not accept that I will not have the strength and energy to complete it all.<br /><br />You get the idea right?! It isn't easy and it's not that my prayer life has improved tremendously. Some days I do not even know what to pray for [and] I end up asking God what to pray for. But this mantra of "I Accept" is starting to give me peace.
